Two-file Update
18:06
useragents.db and translateua.inc
ChromePlus decides to change their name to CoolNovo, so the two files mentioned have been updated; however, the browser still identifies itself as ChromePlus on Linux (and doesn't include the correct version number in Linux). The logo remains unchanged, so there is no need to update the images/themes. If you're using the extension, you may have noticed the admin telling you to update; you'll find the links there.

...finally...
Finally, I got the extension updated. Along with the extension being updated, the Useragents DB, Translation Routine, Pics, and Grayscale Theme have all been updated. Download to your heart's content:
More Updates for UAINCOMMENTS
19:09
useragents.db, translateua.inc, pics.zip
There's a minor update to the files mentioned in the subtitle. Bascially, support was added for the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS.
Also, I still have those other updates in the works. I know, I keep saying that. I've simply been busy with other work and (life) projects since the summer. I hope to be able to devote some time to these updates very soon.
Updates for UAINCOMMENTS
22:32
useragents.db, translateua.inc, pics.zip
As mentioned in the subtitle, three files have been updated for the Useragent Info in Comments extension. Support was added for a few new operating systems, a few new browsers, and updating some routines to get the correct information from a useragent string.
The Default in Grayscale theme has not yet been updated, but will be soon.
Likewise, there is an update in the works for the extension itself. When it is released, you'll have a little bit more functionality in the configuration page as well as a few bug fixes. I'm hoping to find more bugs to fix. Well, that doesn't sound right; I'm working to make sure I've fixed all of the bugs.
Useragents DB updated
22:59
pics.zip and grayscale.zip, too
I've updated the useragents database to include Windows 3.x (in case, for some reason, someone commented on your site using it or spoofing it) as well as unspecified Windows. As a result, the pics and grayscale theme have been updated. The images also include a new image for MSIE; the old one had artifacts in it.

Useragent Info In Comments Updated to v2.0

it now supports themes!
Once again, the Useragent Info in Comments extension has been updated. This was a sweeping change that includes the support for themes. Now, PivotX bloggers can create their own set of images to use to represent the useragent information of their visitors' comments; now you can create an image set that matches the theme of your blog! Included with 2.0 is the theme Default in Grayscale (the name should explain what it looks like).
Other changes include changing the %gecko-webkit% and %gecko-webkit-text% parameters to %browser-engine% and %browser-enginetext%, respectively, as now, the extension identifies five layout engines (as opposed to the previous two, Gecko and WebKit). There are some other internal changes as well as a bug fix.
As mentioned, this is a sweeping change, so pretty much all of the files have been updated, including the images. I would suggest, for ease of updating your site, that you delete the pics directory and upload it afresh from the archive, if you are using local resources. Everything remotely has been updated.

a quick bug fix and some feature updates
Useragent Information in Comments has been updated.
The first change is a quick one. Hans filled me in to a change in global variable that PivotX uses, so that has been fixed.
Next, the use of remote resources has been altered. First, if you use remote resources and those remote resources are not available (for some reason, my site is down), then the extension will revert to using local resources. Second, the translation function can now be used remotely.
Finally, if you so desire, you can supply an image to be used in place of the default image for an unknown operating system/browser. If this is set, it will override the use of remote resources for this one image.
As an aside, the useragent database and translation function are the same as found in version 1.0 of the extension.

Useragent Info In Comments Released

a brand new extension to add new parameters to the comments tag
For over six years, I've been working on this extension. However, it first started out as a hack for PivotLog, then a hack for PivotX. Now, since the release of PivotX version 2.2.6, the same thing can be done with an extension.
Blog Stats Updated to v1.3

a simple bug fix
I discovered a bug in blog stats when setting up this blog as a matter of fact. If you used this extension to display information about an empty category, either of entries and/or comments, or of an author without entries or comments on his/her entries, the output would have been blank for that count. This has been fixed to display a number 0.

A place for me to make announcements about the site, my web work, and hosting
This is a simple first entry to announce that a blog has now been installed. I have great plans for this area, not the least of which is to keep people abreast of my work with a particular extension for this blogging system, PivotX. As soon as I get it finished (tomorrow) and get this place completely up and running, I will announce the release of the extension.
Stay tuned...
